This GDI Sash Lock's design permits easy removal of the screen panel. The locking mechanism provides 7/16 inch (11.1 millimeter) draw-in at sash for a weather-tight seal and helps eliminate racking of the sash when the window is closed and in a locked position. When properly installed, this lock can achieve at least 150 pounds (68 kilograms) per locking point in forced entry resistance testing.
